Geisinger founded the 63 -bed George F. Geisinger Memorial Hospital in memory of her late husband.
Today, Geisinger is regarded as a national model for healthcare transformation for its innovation in delivering superior care at an affordable cost. From its modest beginnings, Geisinger now encompasses an extensive array of health services, providers, and capabilities, including: ten hospital campuses, over 130 clinic sites, nearly 24,000 employees and more than 1,700 employed physicians, and the Geisinger College of Health Sciences.

Geisinger is comprised of ten different institutes that deliver a team-based approach for providers, scientists, researchers, educators and other healthcare professionals at every location, providing consistency and continuity of care. The Department of Radiology sits within the Geisinger Diagnostic Medicine Institute.

Further, the Chair will support and oversee the radiology residency and fellowship programs including the development of new programs.
